2025

Office of Congressman Eric Sorensen
Congressional Intern
I participated in a summer internship with the office of Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17). This role blended my passion for communications and agriculture as I was able to assist the Congressman and his team create content for social media and create robust, farmer-first policies. I lead tours of the U.S. Capitol and assisted with constituent communications.

LGBTQ+ Victory Institute
Summer 2025 Victory Congressional Intern
I was selected as one of eight LGBTQ+ student leaders from across the country to participate in the summer Victory Congressional Internship program. In addition to my congressional internship, I underwent nine trainings on advocacy, policy, and LGBTQ+ history and completed 12 hours of community service.

Norman Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture and Development
Guatemala Study Abroad
I served as team lead for Texas A&M University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences on a USDA-funded study abroad in Guatemala. In partnership with the Norman Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture and Development, I managed a group budget, coordinated with students from multiple universities, and gained experience in international agricultural development, sustainability, and cross-cultural collaboration.
2024

National Farmers Union
Policy Intern
I joined the National Farmers Union in Washington, D.C. for a summer internship. This role allowed me to attend hearings on agricultural issues and track emerging policy through daily press clips. I also engaged in policy discussions and lunch-and-learn sessions with NFU partners, which expanded my understanding of progressive farm policy.

Department of Agricultural Education, Leadership, and Communications
Namibia Study Abroad
During a study abroad program in Namibia with Texas A&M University, I explored the intersections of agriculture, conservation, and rural development in a global context. I engaged with local producers, community leaders, and conservation organizations to better understand challenges surrounding food security, sustainability, and resource management in Southern Africa. This experience broadened my perspective on international agricultural development and strengthened my ability to adapt and collaborate across cultures.

Texas A&M University Representative
As part of the Southeastern Conference’s Student Government Associations, I advocated for higher education priorities such as food security and mental health resources in meetings with members of Congress. I developed a legislative advocacy plan informed by student needs and assisted in coordinated a comprehensive itinerary of educational, networking, and policy-focused events in Washington, D.C.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension
News & Digital Content Assistant
In my role with Texas A&M AgriLife, I collected and analyzed earned media data through Cision to strengthen messaging reach and audience engagement. I developed a year-long content strategy across paid, earned, shared, and owned media while producing feature articles for AgriLife Today that highlighted Texas agriculture, Extension resources, and innovative research. I also oversaw the statewide Crop & Weather report, maintained over 500 webpages across multiple departments in WordPress, and managed weekly social media content reaching more than 16,000 followers.

Texas A&M University System Board of Regents
Student Assistant
As a Student Assistant for the Texas A&M University Board of Regents, I engage directly with the ten regents by assisting with logistics for quarterly board meetings and special sessions. I guide campus tours each semester to educate prospective students about Texas A&M’s history, culture, and traditions. Additionally, I collaborate with a team to plan and execute more than 20 special events annually, ensuring smooth operations and meaningful engagement across the university.

Retail Associate
The Warehouse by CC Creations is officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest collegiate merchandise store in the world (spanning 28,750 sq ft). As a retail associate, I supported customers directly, answering product questions, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. In recognition of my leadership, reliability, and dedication to team success, I was honored with the Core Value Scholarship.
2021

The National FFA Organization
2021-2022 National FFA President
In this role, I represented over 850,000 student members across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In this role, I delivered more than 30 keynote addresses and facilitated workshops at conventions reaching audiences of 10,000+, while also building partnerships with executives from Fortune 500 companies to strengthen FFA’s corporate support. I worked alongside lawmakers and the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture to garner support for the bipartisan House and Senate FFA Caucus, and collaborated with a team of six national officers to advance leadership, education, and career readiness for FFA members nationwide.
